Entrust and Windows Patches

A patch is now available that address problems relating to Entrust Digital Certificate software and the Windows platform.

• Windows Registry Fix is now available that addresses a problem for systems running Windows Vista that may have their sound disabled after the Entrust ESP client is installed. This is a registry patch that modifies registry values to allow sound to work correctly again.

Windows Vista registry fix instructions:

1. Download MSCP.reg at https://ftp.siu.edu/eforms/MSCP.reg.   A valid Network ID and password is required to download this file.
2. Double click the MSCP.reg file to start the installation. You must be running with Administrator privileges to install this fix.
3. When Windows Vista asks your permission to continue, click the continue button..
4. Windows Vista will warn you that you are about to make changes to the registry; click the “yes” button to continue.
5. Windows will confirm that the “keys and values” contained in the MSCP.reg file have been successfully added to the registry.
6. Reboot your computer.
