Entrust Entelligence Security Provider (EESP) 8.0 Upgrade Instructions

Entrust Entelligence Security Provider (EESP) software version 8.0 is now available. Upgrading to version 8.0 is recommended for all Entrust certificate users. EESP 8.0 includes the following:

• The latest EESP 8.0 security patches.
• The ability to search the State of Illinois public certificate (Digital ID) directory. Users may utilize the Entrust Certificate Explorer feature to search for people with State issued Digital ID’s.

EESP 8.0 Upgrade Instructions:

1. Download the updated installer package from https://ftp.siu.edu/eforms/SIUC_EESP.zip
2. Uncompress the installer package.
3. Uninstall the existing EESP 8.0 product
1. XP users, remove EESP through the “Add/Remove programs” feature
2. Vista users, remove EESP through the “Uninstall or change a program” feature
4. Install EESP 8.0
1. Start the install by double clicking the “setup.bat” file. Do not execute the “eespwin.msi” file, or EESP will not install correctly. Click next to continue.



2. Accept the license agreement and click next to continue.



3. Enter your user information and click next to continue.



4. Select the default destination location, click next to continue.



5. Choose the typical install option and click next to continue.



6. Click next to begin the installation.



7. When the installation completes, click finish.



5. Vista users will need to reinstall the Vista sound fix. Please see http://eforms.siu.edu/patches1007.html for instructions.
6. Reboot your machine.
